Holiday Hunt!

We have a new Holiday Hunt just in time for Christmas!  There are 20 Christmas tree bulbs like this one hidden around the Galaxy (see the sample at our reception desk).  When you find one simply click on it and you will receive a notecard like this one with a number and a Christmas Phrase.  Write down all of these numbers and corresponding phrases on a notecard and send it to DBDigital Epislon.  The first person to find all of them, or the most by December 24th at 9pm wins $500L, a weeks stay in a Galaxy Suite, or time added to their current rent (their choice).  The winner will be announced on the 24th, or if someone finds all of them early.  Good Luck!

3 Performances One Great Night

We had a wonderful day of concerts on Saturday. 

First we had Kain Scalia singing several classic opera songs among others.  A rare treat in SL.

Then we had Carah Nitely with her fun unique style and wonderful voice is that not to be missed.

Then we had Maximillion Kleene with his excellent vocal and guitar talents.

It was a bit of a adventure though due to the lag storm near the end of Carah's concert.  Max had a bit of a problem getting into the sim, but after a few minutes he did and we sailed though the storm.  Although as you can see Max had to do a bit of 'air guitar' for a few until we sailed out of the storm. ;)

If you missed these concerts fear not we have Ceci Dover and Carah Nitely back this weekend at 1 and 2pm!

Live Music this Saturday!

We are pleased to announce BGSinger is returning to the Zodiac Ballroom this Saturday (December 3rd) at 2pm!

Happy Thanksgiving!

King Fisher Takes me Away

What does a Cruise Director do on her day off?  Why go fishing on my boat the King Fisher, of course.  I had alot of fun fishing and taking pics.  Especially, the pic of the King Fisher and the Galaxy gunning their engines.  Hehe.. 

Seriously the King Fisher is a great boat.  Seats 5, has a cabin with table and seats, galley  and a bed.  Some of the other features include working water lights, working spotlight, Navigational lights controlled by the 12 v DC Panel.  If you are looking for a boat you might want to take a look at this one.  I know it is one of my favorites.

Gem Hunt! (UPDATED)

It is GEMSTONE week on the Galaxy!  All of our events have a Gem theme and we have hidden a Gem on the Galaxy.  First person to find it gets a weeks stay!  Once one is found another one will be placed in another location the next day.  Good luck!

As people have not found the Diamond there are now TWO gems aboard to find.  And the first one I will leave you with a hint....it is somewhere in Forward on Deck 1.

There Be Whales Here!

Yes the Galaxy has a new lady in our crew.  A Orca whale has joined us.  She is great fun to watch, listen to and ride.  She is located just off  the Fishing Gangway.  Stop by and say hello, I am sure she will enjoy your visit.  Hmmm now to find a xxxxxx uniform for her. ( Smiles)

In Forward just of the starboard bow (right side)  are three very frisky, fun loving dolphins.  They seem to be enjoying playing in our wake.  Take a few moments, sit in the Boiler Room, relax  and watch our threesome play.

LL Updates and we run for cover!

Linden Lab is doing a lot of updates this week.  And you may have noticed sim crossings are particularly bad as of late.  This is one reason for the lack of races on the Galaxy currently.  While LL is now working on the issue, however it will involve some large updates this week which means wide spread issues across the grid.


I know The Galaxy has experienced more general sim performance issues in the past few days.  And we will continue doing restarts as required to help mitigate this issue, however we may still have some performance issues that can't be helped.  We apologize for the inconvenience.


On a good note you might have noticed that LL has released a User Interface update to their latest viewer.  It removes the sidebar and gives a customizable list of buttons, which can be arranged to your liking on both sides of the screen and on the bottom.  The secret is to right click on a button and select edit toolbar then a window pops up.  While that is up you can drag and drop any button to the window to get rid of it or drag one out and add it to the tool bar of your choice.



You can also arrange the current ones to the configuration you like best.  And if you right click on the tool bar there is a option to show the labels or not.  It is a vast improvement in my opinion over the old sidebar interface as each button opens a window instead of the sidebar.
